So I am trying to lose weight as efficiently as possible. I ran a 3 week water fast in 2020 and have done a few 7-14 day fasts in ‘21 and ‘22.
Info I’ve gathered
- Dry fast = more efficient then water fast (“weight loss 3x more” I read)
- to avoid plateauing, rolling dry fasts can be done in 24,48, or 72. Anything after that will be the same as water fasting, in terms of weight loss ( both a pound a day)
- If doing rolling, some break with meats and content that are easy on the digestive system and some use snake juice. (Based on cole, eating but not drinking would cause severe constipation issues, so eat and drink? And is eating required?)
I am trying to lose 55 lbs in about 35 days (January 15), and believe that rolling 48 and 72s are for me, but I want to get a little more of a grasp before I decide.
Answer
Hi :) join the dry fasting sub and browse through the posts. Would also recommend that you research and read some of the most respected published books on dry fasting that we currently have available - those would be by authors August Dunning (The Phoenix Protocol) and Russian doctor Sergey Filinov (20 Questions and Answers about Dry Fasting) - these are available on amazon and August has a YouTube channel as well. Dry fasting is amazing, but it is a complex and advanced form of fasting. It requires that you prepare and refeed in a certain manner so that you are doing it safely and effectively. Wether or not you choose to do it, it’s still great to learn about its benefits and there are MANY
Best of luck! 💕
