Rolling fasts

After a 48hr or 72 hr fast,you refeed a meal,or a day,&then restart the fast??

Answer

I break my rolling 48 hour fast with OMAD (One Meal A Day) Keto WOE (way of eating). Then I go back to fasting after the OMAD. I do 2 fasts of 48 hours during the week now.

I find that Keto WOE helps me fast better. Wholesome food helps me not to have the terrible cravings. I don’t eat Keto substitutes. Usually a big salad and protein of some kind.

I try to have something for dessert also. I homemake fat bombs. Coco, almond butter, coconut oil and stevia. I put this into silicone cupcake forms and I keep them in the freezer. Or maybe some keto ice cream if I am lazy.

Now that I have lost the weight I needed to get healthy. I just make sure to eat more calories from veggies, meat and good fats when I break my fasts.

I fast now for the health benefits. Including mental clarity and to help fight Cancer Diabetes and Alzheimers since I am in my 50s.

Please make sure to take electrolytes while you are fasting. You need sodium potassium and magnesium. It is very important. Search Keto aid or snake juice for recipes.

I did the same refeedings on my rolling 72 hour fasts also.

Good luck to you

Answer

That’s what I plan on doing. This is my second 7 day fast, I’m on day 5. I plan on eating on day 8 and fasting for either 48-72 hours and then refeed and then fast again. My goal is to do this for the next 30 days minimum.

Answer

Take a look at alternate day fasting. There is even a subreddit r/alternatedayfasting the standard ADF is a 36hour fast followed by a 12 hour feeding window. I personally have been eating an ADF style feed/fast and seen great results and most importantly it has been the most sustainable way of eating.
