Not really sure where to post this, so I hope I find some answers here.
I am finally on track to really care about my health. I am a fan of knowing as much about my body and mind as possible. So naturally I am interested in all kinds of screenings and tests that may help me live healthily for as long as possible.
So my question is, are there any kinds of screening you would strongly recommend?
Some tests I can across and wonder if they are useful are also metabolic rate testing and various genetic tests, bone density etc. I don't really know anything about screening for health but I am very keen on increasing my healthy life span. What do you think about the genetic tests that are supposed to be helpful to determine nutrition?
Also, what do you think about testing for food intolerances?
Answer
Food intolerances can be found by doing an elimination diet. If you’re having a lot of stomach upset, go for the testing of you want to.
I’d think about your family medical history and what that can tell you to look for. Some conditions have strong heritability.
