Serious question

Edit::: more info included! I have been watching a few videos on benefits of fasting, the guy said eat at 6pm and do it again the next day, do only eat or drink once a day. Is this just advice for lazy people and people who work desks job? Or is it for everyone Because me personally i feel like i would die or pass out doing that, because of my job and how active i am My day i wake up 5am do a 30 min workout Than 8 hours hard maunal labor Than gym 1.5 hours Can i sustain this? Currently weight 190 8percent bodyfat, not looking to lose weight, looking to maintain/ even build muscle And looking for the other benefits like mental clarity energy and such

Answer

Drink once a day?? That’s crazy, drink as much water/plain tea as you want. In fact, drinking fluids is the main thing to keep your food cravings down. Imo, if your working hard labor and going to gym every day, you don’t need to do OMAD(One Meal A Day).

I usually only do OMAD on non-workout days, and I work a remote desk job. But your doing hard labor and working out, so if your trying to lose I’d suggest trying smaller, healthier portions and maybe wait until 11am-12 for your first meal. Then a meal after gym at least a couple hours before bed. Avoid snacking and drinking your calories. Maybe see how that works out for you?

I am no dietician though, so this is of course my complete amateur, non-professional advice, lol.

Good luck!

That is actually insane. I work a desk job and even I need water far more often than that I’d be dehydrated doing what they does. It’s possible to only eat once a day if you can get in all your calories. You much need some electrolytes to help if you are active though. It’s just my personal experience that I wasn’t gonna get through the day without muscle cramps without some electrolyte supplements in my water doing OMAD and working out.

I will say that depending on what you’re eating you might need more than one meal being that active. Like bring an office worker I can eat a 1.5K meal once a day and that’s fine. For me that’s a calorie bomb. For you, you’re probably still missing 500-1K calories depending.
