Small Steps, literally

I started in December attempting to fast - being 360lbs, and in poor health (liver problems, insulin is high, couldn't stand for more than 5min) - it didn't go very well. I think I went 24 hours. Fast forward to today, I'm down 23 pounds, but more importantly, I'm able to fast for 4 days, and I am feeling like I have -- energy? Today I had to drop my car off at a nearby mechanics. It is about 1.4km away from my house. I chose to walk home. I haven't walked this far in years - and I just took it low and slow. I've been putting off this part of the diet because I was ashamed at how far I let myself go - but I needed to start, so I did a small walk. I don't know if I'll be able to walk back to the mechanic to get my car, but I'm hoping tomorrow I can walk a bit more. I'm going to get down under 300lbs in the coming weeks, and I haven't seen that weight in nearly 20 years!

Congrats on the weight loss. Remember that muscle building is as important as weight loss and to protect your joints. You can walk uphill, do breathing exercises like oxicise and things like band workouts or pilates ring training can help you lose weight while firming up. You’ve got this. You also need to remember that overeating between fasts is very rough on your system. Don’t eat as if you’re panicking and you have a much higher chance of actually losing weight. Good luck!

Congrats!! I totally agree, small steps and consistency. I walk from home to office and back home now every single day (total 6km) and then another 6km during lunch break and before i would get tired even walking 1 km from my office to the metro station. I started slowly, my feet would hurt a lot at first, but i pushed through and learnt to treat myself every night before sleep with a nice aromatic foot bath. Now i dont think about it, i just walk everywhere i can.

Great Job on the steps

Are you counting calories on refeeds. And measuring portions. I feel if you where measuring correctly and keeping your refeeds to 500 to 800 calories. You should be down more

Watch out and measure oil when cooking it is very concentrated in calories and most people don’t realize how much they use.

Again great job on the walk and having a goal.
