So generally about my refeeds
Where I am doesn't give me the luxury to start choosing
Carb free food or keto or something like that
So I just eat whatever
And I eat till I'm full
So my question is this
If I'm rolling 48's with refeeding like this
Would I still lose weight long term?
Answer
It might be a bit more difficult if you’re in and out ketosis all the time (it takes 2-3 days to become fat adapted again and fuel your body with your fat). Isn’t it possible to buy spam or just some chicken breast + veggies wherever you are? It’s not really luxury unless you live somewhere in the woods and need to hunt everything by yourself 🤷🏻♀️
Answer
It’s normal to overthink and fine tune your refeeds.Think simple as possible.
- Your stomach will shrink on fasts, hence you will feel fuller faster.
- Keep refeed simple. Eat protein and any veggies you have access to. (I personally eat very little veggies because it gives me gas.
- Even if you eat the normal American diet on refeeds, you will lose weight, just not at the accelerated rate. Plus healthy lifestyle is not your goal refeeding this way, just losing weight.
- If you feel like eating anything in sight, eat all your protein first. Studies have shown eating protein then carbs, lowers insulin spike of carbs consumer upto 30%.
- If all else fails and you gorge on carbs, make sure you have cinnamon with apple cider vinegar to lower Insulim spike.
- Once you have carbs on refeeds, it’s very difficult to stop. Just tell yourself you will not even give yourself an option to have carbs on a refeed till you do at least 3 sets of rolling 72s.
