So hard to continue

It’s my 5th day today. Every day i want to quit. I am bored out of my mind. Reading is exhausting, activities are exhausting. Im taking the disgusting electrolytes and still fatigued and exhausted. Im watching tv all day on my couch. I have no energy. Im obsessed with watching food tiktoks. I am just so tempted to quit. It’s not my first rodeo either. Longest ive done is 9 days. Shortest was 4-5 days. Its so hard each time. The worst part is hardly seeing changes to my body. I never feel like i can be good at this and ive been fasting on and off since 2017.. In the past, ive seen drastic changes to my body from fasting. I feel like it always depends because some other times i can hardly tell. Not sure what i did wrong. Im so ready to quit. I want to eat just to eat. I hate this nasty taste in my mouth. The salty water is disgusting. I am bored out of my mind. I am so exhausted. 5’7 135 lbs. thanks for reading.

There are weird days like that. The absolute worst thought is “is it going to be this miserable for the rest of the fast?” Lo and behold often you wake up the next day and the nasty thoughts are gone.

Focus on doing one more day and in the mean time try to minimize the disruptive thoughts and bad distractions. If you make it to the end of the day you at least get 8 hours of free fasting while you sleep.

How much do you want to lose? What’s your goal weight? If it’s 20lbs or less, I would do rolling 48s with small refeeds. I fast long (rolling 168s right now) because I have a lot to lose - 100+.

My friend is doing rolling 42s with small refeeds. They are on the last 10lbs now.

do NOT watch food tiktoks/videos! hahah. try to find something really interesting to do that completely distracts you and makes you think (of things other than eating).

and if long fasts are really miserable for you try IF, OMAD or ADF. hang in there!
