Sushi and fasting?

Hi, I just wanted to get people's general opinions on how healthy it would be doing 20:4, or possibly longer fasts, and then only having sushi in my eating period. I know its got plenty of cards in considering the rice but if I'm doing these shorter fasts I shouldn't have trouble with refeeding right? I figured on the other hand foods such as salmon/avocado and the veg in the sushi would be really beneficial? I'll still also be taking an electrolyte complex daily. This might sound stupid but as it's sometimes raw fish I just wanted to check?

Answer

As a chef I can tell you they add sushi vinegar to season rice. which has substantial amount of sugar in it. So you are getting more than just carbs. You will be running in circle with little results. Sorry!!!

Answer

Couple things: if you’re not worried about constant ketosis without any break, seems fine. Otherwise if rice is a concern you could do sashimi alone. Other thing is, I think a lot of folks would say due to mercury content it’s maybe advisable to not make it a daily thing.

Answer

The rice is going to spike your insulin and negate any positive benefits from the fast.

Why not just have some fish and vegetables? Throw in an egg or two and that’d be a wonderful meal to break a fast.
