you need to maintain a certain level of macro and micro nutrients to perform bodily functions
having large spikes and then long withdrawals will lead to health issues. it is also the case that some things can only be absorbed/stored/used at any given time (e.g. water soluble vitamins)
it’s partly why we have a “daily” recommended value and not “annual” or “lifetime”
That’s not how it works. Your body doesn’t store everything it needs for later use, so you need a regular influx of certain nutrients, vitamins, etc. You are constantly losing sodium and potassium when you sweat or pee for example and these (and other) electrolytes are required for homeostasis. Also, your liver stores glycogen, but it gets depleted fast if you’re physically active. You usually need to consume some carbs daily to maintain energy levels.
That said, the 1-2 hour anabolic window for protein consumption after a workout has been largely debunked by science. Studies show it doesn’t matter too much when you consume your protein, as long as you consume it throughout the day. Going days without getting protein though is a bad idea I would imagine.
It doesn’t work as well like that.. for better health it is more optimal to have 1/7 of your weekly nutrition net each day.
You could do this in theory but the storage of the required nutrient takes a toll on the body. I highly recommend bioavailability within lean meals often..
Your body will not metabolize dietary protein efficiently, if consumed all at once. In fact, generally eating more than 30 grams of protein during a meal is pretty wasteful because the excess protein is just excreted.
Therefore, you will not be able to eat all of your required protein during one day and absorb/utilize it efficiently.
I’m sure there’s some interesting studies on keto for the “lasting energy” bit, I know there was that lady who wrote about carb loading before marathons who literally ripped that portion of her book out and said fats and proteins gave you much more consistent energy, that still is one day though. And I’m pretty sure proteins can only be used in a 24 hour time frame just based on how our body works to use it
