Took 3 Days off this week

Kept my husband company for 12 hours in the ER Sunday. Had a migraine another day this week. And just kind of crashed the day after that. Posting here because I don’t want to let myself turn a bad week into an excuse to give up entirely. I’ve been doing 16:8 since the beginning of the year and have lost 5% of my total body weight. It’s slow progress, but it’s real.

You’re not alone. Fasting since January 2nd 18:6 and 20:4.

Got my period Friday night (earlier and unprepared for it emotionally) so took off two days of fasting as I needed some comfort meals outside my window. I didn’t go overboard but that warm soup in the middle of cramping did so much for me that I do think I made the right decision. Tomorrow is a new day!

We all stumble. If you truly plan to long haul on IF, then it’s going to happen. We can’t let these stumbles break our commitment to ourselves. The fact that you recognize it and posted on here means you plan to get back on. IF isn’t meant to be a prison sentence, so try not to treat it like one.

Good luck to you on getting back on. I’m sure you’ll do it. And good luck to your husband. I hope he is healing up.

Thank you. This inspires me. Over past month or so I’ve lost my IF rhythm and gained some weight back and clothes feeling tight. This was even while doing some version of IF though not the 22:2 I’d been doing through end of last year. I could blame it on the short course of Prednisone, and that definitely played a part, but it’s really the slippery slope. Thanks for sharing and reminding me I have companions climbing back up that slope!
