Trouble Staying Committed

Over the past 6 years, I've quit tobacco and drinking. Neither contributed anything meaningful to my life. Prior to quitting those things, I was living no carb and intermittent fasting. I lost and kept off 100 plus pounds for years. I have tried to restart for what seems like months with little success. I feel like I have no willpower, but when I look at the other habits I've broken, cold turkey I might add, I clearly have a measure of it. Just looking for some insights that may help me get back in the saddle and stay there. Thanks!

Answer

I struggle with the same and have done similar things such as you have done in the past. I “dabble into getting serious and don’t and then I finally kick myself in the ass and get my head right and make the decision

Answer

It’s all about the WHY. If you don’t have a sufficient reason I can’t imagine success.
But with that said - this 62 year old will tell you that life is a progressive degenerate disease. As we age we continually increase issues and meds to treat those issues. Moderate exercise and Intermittent fasting are the most effective weapons against the trials and tribulations of aging.
