Today is day 12 (278 hours completed) of 17.5 day dry fast attempt.
Weight from day 1 has gone from 165 lbs to today at 138 lbs. the effects of dehydration are starting to take a toll on my body. My voice has completely changed as expected. luckily no pain in the heart or kidneys. also no muscle cramps. its just the lack of energy and difficulty of driving that has me concerned.
also the joints arent feeling too good. having barely any saliva is not a good sign. im def way under my goal weight of maintaining 150-155 lbs.
im strongly considering breaking the fast with water tomorrow so i have the weekend to recover and carefully plan out my refeed without work getting in the way. totally miss working out, cycling and most of all drinking and eating healthy.
Completing this 420 hour dry fast would have put me around 126-129 lbs and would have took a toll on my muscle mass. lots of other things could have gone wrong as well.
I'm greatful to make it this far and look forward to continuing other types of fasting in the year 2021.

Man, I really would not drive during a dry fast. Especially on day-12, holy Christ.
As far as aching joints and organs, I read that it’s old illnesses manifesting themselves several times fold, before permanently leaving the body. It’s encouraging as long as it’s not too bad. All kinds of junk deposits, deformed cells, etc. I’m sure you’ve read the same thing.
I’m concerned about driving though. I wouldn’t even go outside at day-12.

Great work!! What was your reason for this if not an illness or weight loss? You’re of normal weight so that wasn’t it…just curious. What benefits have you seen, like skin issues cleansing or soft tissues healing, etc?
