I don’t doubt Cole at all but I lost 20 lbs on the Snake Diet, regained it back when I got a job and went back to college and now I’m taking a jab at fitting it into my life again. Tried a 24, then a 48 successfully and now I’m onto a 72.
I’m new here but not new to the Snake Diet. I’ve noticed myself a few people saying “so-and-so said not to do this” or “I’m going to do this person’s method”… Well, that’s not exactly the Snake Diet, is it?
I’m 6 feet, and two years ago I was at my heaviest, 325 pounds. In three months I was able to lose 60 pounds following the SD strictly, and doing refeeds usually every 72 hours. The only times that I wavered were when family invited me out to eat. At the end of the three months I started to have a little of this, a little of that, eat some fast food, and got right back into my old eating habits. What I realized, after thinking about it and about the mistakes I made along the way, is that I will need to do a modified version of the SD for the rest of my life if I am to maintain a good healthy weight.
One of the reasons I started “following” Cole was because of his attitude and ability to cut through the bullshit. Sometimes we need to hear the cold, hard truth. And what he says is no worse than what I’ve made myself feel all these years for being such a fatty.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with people debating and promoting discussion, no point in even browsing if it’s just going to be a perpetual echo chamber.
unrelated - I could have sworn there used to be more mods here. Anyone know why /u/saini_saab_10 deleted their account? They were very active.
