i’ve been doing 16/8 intermittent fasting since september of last year. overall, i feel *better* but there have notably been mornings where i have felt extremely nauseous and hungry. i usually eat twice a day and my last meal ends around 6:30-7:45. i try not to make my meals super heavy, nor extremely light. my days usually consist of light yoga and stretching, accompanied by drinking tons of water. however, this morning i was greeted by a feeling reminiscent to morning sickness during pregnancy and it’s almost like my body is neglecting something that is meant to be healthy. at this point, i’m considering giving up on fasting all together. has anyone else dealt with this?
edit: i’d like to mention the fact that i am not pregnant, so that isn’t a possibility. also, my first meal of the day is not supposed to take place until 11:47. it’s 8 am as i am typing this. i don’t think i’ll be able to hold on until then.
Answer
I’ve found that drinking salty bouillon decreases my nausea and, on the days I’m nauseous, it’s worth the break in routine to end the nausea. (I can always go back to my normal fasting regime tomorrow, but suffering unnecessarily is not part of my plan.)
