I’ve been water fasting since April for weight loss.

I’m going to attempt another extended fast this week starting tomorrow. I switched to OMAD recently and I’m still not very good at controlling my eating. I may only get to Wednesday but if I can do till Friday I think that would be very good.

When eating I’ve been doing my own version of the autoimmune protocol diet. I didn’t take a lot of the foods they list out of my diet because I consider them staples but I’m making note when I do eat something on that list. Especially if I had not eaten it before recently. So far, aspartame and tomatoes/peppers are new foods I know make me sick. On top of an excess of carbs, potatoes, and alcohol.

I have been doing intermittent fasting/ omad seriously for 3 weeks now. For the past 2 weeks I’m stuck at 74.5kg. I have started Hiit 2weeks ago and I’ve been doing loose keto and eat on average between 500-800 calories a day.

I plan on doing 72 hour water fast to break my plateau. I have done 72 hour fast twice before. Both the times I ended up binging and falling of the wagon for a week. Hopefully, this time, it’ll be different as I feel more determined and disciplined than ever before.

I’m already 21 hours into my 72 hour fast.

I am in my 40s and have lost/gained the same 10 pounds (135-145) for around 10 years now. I have done numerous 3 Day fasts, but I usually feel too awful by morning of Day 4 and I give up. Then I eat way too much after.

I am off to a beach trip next weekend, so the last 2 weeks I have been super-healthy. I pre-made lunch salads for the entire week each Sunday. Made green smoothies for my husband and me in the mornings with garden kale, frozen fruit and almond milk, and had fairly healthy dinners, again mostly prepared on the weekend and frozen since I have no time to cook during the week. Low-carb snacks or fruit only - watermelon, nuts, shaved coconut, olives, snap peas, carrots and ranch.. I lost about 4 pounds the last 2 weeks.

Today and yesterday I cut fruit and all carbs and went keto to prepare to water/coffee/salt fast M-W then back to keto for a few days R-F. I have never tried keto before and/or after a fast, so I am hoping it will help with the cravings, overeating, and feeling dizzy and sick at the end of my fast.

I’m attempting my first 50h fast. Completely still failing at even going for 16-18 hours after I took a break from fasting during a 2-week vacation. Enough with the excuses, I only have literally 5kg to lose!

I’m 46 hours in, I want to make it past my previous record of 94 hours. Actually what I’d really like is magically easily fast until I hit goal -5 so I can gain back my 5 pounds of digestive weight and eat lazy keto for the rest of my life maintaining. Somehow I doubt I’ll be able to fast through 42 pounds. Too bad my metabolism is so efficient that even keto just maintains. Normal carb levels plump me up like 5# a week it’s ridiculous.

So instead of telling people how long I’ve fasted (other than reddit and hubby) I’m just going to say I’m interval fasting and not in my eating window yet. I’m actually telling myself that too, I’m feeling pretty fatigued and I’m taking Advil for headaches since salt and potassium didn’t help. I worry about taking Advil while fasting but with taking care of kids I need to be functional.

One thing about fasting, my lips are crazy dry and peeling, so annoying.
