Weekly Progress Thread - New + Ongoing Fasts

Started DF yesterday. Day 1:Weight: 294.2lbsExercise: 15k steps, 15 sets of jump rope (learning, lowest set I counted about 32 jumps, highest 115 (PR))Felt: Great, binged a bit the day before so it was good to give my body a rest. Time flew by, spent most of the day reading, walking or sitting in nature. Slept really well.

Will update how day 2 goes tonight or tomorrow morning.

52 hours into a soft dry fast and the plan is to end it at 72 hours tomorrow (Thursday night to Sunday night). I feel warm and stable. Friday felt pretty normal and it wasn’t a big deal to work on Friday. After work Friday I crashed early and slept a lot, woke up feeling very warm on Saturday and I’ve felt very warm all day.

A contrast shower before bed tonight felt fantastic and oddly emotional - wanted to laugh or cry tears of joy when the temperature changed. Spraying perfume on my chest before bed feels fantastic too, because I smell it so much better than usual.

Walking in the park today was definitely not fun. I could smell everything in high definition and there were so many people there with terrible smells on them, things I could still smell even if I gave them a wide berth.

On my last fast, I made the mistake of trying to socialize with someone in person during the fast and felt emotionally exhausted the whole time. but I didn’t socialize on this fast, just a few messages with friends remotely.
