Multivitamins are inherently faulty as they cram many micro nutrients into one pill, when in reality you need some sugar to absorb some of them, you’ll need fat to absorb some of them, you might not be able to absorb a whole bunch of them and you won’t know until you do your bloodwork consistently.
Multivitamins is like a band aid on a broken leg, sure it might comfort you but it will probably not help you. More and more nutrition professionals don’t do it, and if they do it is a “just in case” attitude towards it. Which might end up being bad as you can get an overdose of iron if you take multivitamins which is toxic to your body.
Multivitamins are useless. It’s been proven in many studies. If I remember correctly only omega 3 magnesium and maybe curcumin are useful. Vit d also even if it does not improve the bone fracture rate in the elderly
Generally multivitamins aren’t really recommended unless you’re in a very unusual situation, such as on significant calorie restrictions or some sort of illness that prevents you from properly absorbing nutrients. I’m not sure if this also applies to women, who already are smaller and eat less regularly.
