Whenever I feel like I have a cold coming on I squeeze the juice of half (sometimes whole) lemon into a mug and mix it with hot water, honey to desired sweetness, and a pinch of cayenne. Drink a few cups of this and it usually knocks out whatever bug I am fighting if I catch it early enough.
Apple cider vinegar drinks are also good if you are just looking for an everyday, anytime beverage. There are a zillion recipes for different combos on the internet these days and ACV is reported to offer several health benefits. I often just mix a tablespoon with a pint of water and sweeten it with agave or honey :)
my shake = broccoli sprouts for sulforaphane (pretty much the only food I would consider a legit superfood for all the health benefits), blueberries for antioxidants, kale/spinach for micronutrients and magnesium, creatine for energy and brain health, collagen powder for joints. chia seeds for the fibers and plant omegas. I usually drink this and take fish oils at the same time.

Honestly, straight up beef or chicken broth heated up in a coffee cup with some added salt. Idk why but makes me feel healthier haha. I also have a soda stream and carbonate filtered water every morning and add a good amount of keto chow drops (electrolytes) and it makes me feel great.
A gentle and effective shake.1 High quality Milk - Complete nutrient profile, bio-available and protein rich.2 A table spoon of higher quality fat greek yogurt - probiotics and vitamin K2 content being higher.3 A fruit with a decent vitamin C content and some carbs/fibre for the bacteria to much on and the vitamin C for energy metabolism.
(Additional stuff/supplement based) Bovine Collagen peptides - protein, glycine and so on have a various joint and brain benefits.Banana and a pinch of sea salt - carbohydrates, potassium and sodium provide a good energy kicker to get you going. Salt is not the enemy.
I don’t really add vegetables to my drinks, pointless and usually provide very little. You can throw spinach in there but you may not even reciece benefits of other components due to the anti-nutrient content. But that’s a personal choice.
I do this daily or every second day:
Mix with a half cup of water and sip over the course of an hour or 2. I always have green tea on hand to help wash it down because it tastes really bitter. Also, taking this with a fat source helps with absorption (I take it with algal Omega 3 supp and a tbsp of fresh ground flax seeds).
I’ve been vitamix’ing this veg slushie every week for the past several years: beets, apple, carrots, celery, cucumber, lemon, onion, kale, ginger, pineapple, salt. Love it, I feel off on weeks I don’t have it.
When I’m feeling achy I put a bunch of organic celery, a green apple, a couple nobs of ginger and a few drops of liquid stevia in the blender. I usually add alkaline water but you could use whichever kind of water you normally drink. I don’t have a juicer I just stir it up every time before I pour a glass. The fiber that you wouldn’t get using a juicer is filling and tastes fine to me.
You can get a ton of nutrients through broths and soups! If you have a slow cooker, or even just a pot, boil some pork/chicken/fish, and throw in some veggies (e.g. carrot, onions, potatoes, corn, spinach etc) for the necessary vitamins! Drizzle in some soy sauce/fish sauce to taste.
i’m the morning, i have my “health drink”. it’s got raw ginger, chia seeds, turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, super greens & matcha powder, fresh ground black pepper and triphala powder. i’ve recently started emptying the contents of a dandelion+ teabag into the mix.
i let the whole brew steep over night. i blend it all up in the morning & power it down. the ginger really helps with the poisonous flavor .. lol
Blue tea (Butterfly pea tea) is a healthy choice for you. It is full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It is good for your skin, hair, and gastrointestinal system. It is also a mood booster and aids in appetite and weight management. In addition, blue tea can assist in managing and preventing chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus.
