What is your idea of dirty fasting?

I assume dirty fasting means different things to different people so I’d like to hear what you consider as dirty fasting. Do you have a certain calorie limit? Do you only consume liquids on your dirty fasts or do you even eat something solid? Do you consume only carbs/protein/fat during your dirty fasts or do macronutrients even matter? Just curious!

Answer

(One) Coffee with sugar free syrup and 1tbsp of 18% table cream every morning. And coke zero whenever I’m in the mood for it. The only reason I consider it dirty fasting is because of the 25 calories in the cream. But I’m only fasting for weight loss and it’s such a small amount of calories that it doesn’t affect my progress at all. Other than that, just water and electrolyes every couple days.

I work a fairly active job, and my shifts always change week to week- from working nights to early mornings. I try for the 20:4 or 16:8 intermittent fasting- but especially the early morning shifts, I default to the dirty fasting. Sometimes Ill add a splash of cream to my coffee or Millie’s Sipping Broth to curb the cravings.

I primarily fast for weight loss.

Answer

I use stevia sweetened water enhancers in my seltzer and tea. I use Nut Pods in my coffee. It has only 5 cals and zero carbs or protein, so it’s ok in my book. I sip on pickle and olive juice when I feel “hungry”

Answer

Coffee, tea, collagen (powder, usually in coffee- 70kcal/day), and lime chile shrimp ramen seasoning packet (I per day- usually spread across 4 mugs super hot water throughout the day). Occasionally an energy drink if I’m feeling extra dirty, but I generally avoid artificial sweeteners across the board.

I could fast like ^ for what feels like forever.
