Hello, I've been intermittent fasting for about 2-3 years now and I've tried to do a 3 day fast recently, but on day 2 in the morning I had all the symptoms of hypoglycemia (dizziness, fatigue, very fast heartbeat, feeling like I will faint). I took all my supplements, salt, magnesium, potassium, drank water and nothing was helping until I ate something then I was instantly better. How do I combat this, is this a possible insulin resistance issue? I haven't been diagnosed with it, I'm 23 and I'm not overweight, I wanted to fast for health
Answer
I would recommend that if you have an underlying health condition, you should talk to a doctor. The people here are enthusiasts, maybe even very knowledgeable, but what is best for you is going to be between you and your doctor. He / she may not tell you to quit fasting. Maybe just make some alterations. Like juice or whatever..
