New here to this sub, so thanks in advance for any insight. I’ve been on 18:6 for about a month now and was on 16:8 for about a year before that. I’ve lost a decent amount of weight and I’m finding my energy levels to be SO much better. However, I am finding that come time for my eating hours, I’m not hungry, despite not eating all day (eating hours are 3-9). Has anyone experience this? It wasn’t always like this. When I first started IF, I was hungry all the time, but it’s almost like my body is just used to it now and I don’t feel hungry anymore…like at all and I have to pretty much just eat anyways and force all my calories in during my window.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this dwindling feeling of hunger?
For what it’s worth, I eat low carb, high protein and fat, between 1200-1500 calories a day (depending on what kind of workout I do that day. I workout 5-6 days a week).
Answer
That’s what I am feeling right now after 24 hours and still Fasting. I feel full and not hungry and energetic and determined to fast for another 12 hours. I was introduced by my sister as well as the need to see if IF can help with my A1C 5.9%. I just started two weeks ago from 16:8 to18:6 for few days and now going for 36 hours. Idk if I have lost any weight yet. I feel great though and as I said, still not hungry after 24 hours. I drink green tea and spice tea, plain.

This question comes up weekly, so your are not alone. For more answers just search for something like “not hungry” in the subreddit. I would say that unless you are already underweight or you are under 18, just listen to your body when it wants a break.
