Where is the fat going?

So I'm fairly new to doing IF successfully. I never read up on electrolytes etc. when I tried before so I always felt tired, weak, confused, etc and failed at it. This time around, I find OMAD to be a walk in the park, and I'm working my way up to my first successful 48. I know I still have TONS to learn, and I'm aware that I'm probably eating more calories than I should be during re-feeds for my weight loss goals, BUT I am still seeing weight loss in the mirror somehow? It's been 3 weeks so I don't think it's just bloat, or swollen gut that I got rid of (but I'm glad that's gone too). It really seems like I'm losing fat AND YET my weight remains the same on the scale. How is this possible? I haven't been exercising. No weight lifting, etc. so it's not extra muscle bulk. I'm just at a loss for words here

Answer

I am a few weeks in and noticing the same thing… I have not lost any weight according to the scale but my clothes fit better and my husband commented that I looked like I have lost a significant amount of weight.

I also have no idea what is actually going on… myonly guess is it’s because I’m staying much more hydrated?? In any case, it just solidifies my resolve to not step on the scale too regularly and pay more attention to how I feel instead. Why let a number destroy the sense of accomplishment I felt at actually seeing results?? (I’d rather have it this way than be losing weight without seeing any progress)
