Whenever I do a long fast, if I drink any type of caffeine (Diet soda, coffee, tea, etc) I tend to lose a little more weight than if I just drank nothing but snake juice all day.
It seems to almost speed it up.
Cole is about more than just losing weight - he wants people to get rid of all of their addictions and coffee is one of them. He doesn’t even want you to jerk off. Other fasting thought leaders out there have no problem with it.
There have been studies in the last few years showing that basically 1 or 2 cups of coffee actually improves autophagy and has other mild benefits, but too much caffeine actually interferes with autophagy. So I think as long as your coffee consumption is reasonable then it isn’t an issue. The important thing is that you are seeing the results that you want anyways, don’t overthink it.
What are the specific of doing rolling 48s? Obviously you’re fasting for 48 hours but how many calories are you supposed to be consuming in between? And does it matter the type of calories such as carbohydrates, fats, protein on the non fasting days? I’ve done a few four and five day fasts, but it’s a once and done kind of deal for me. Interested in the specifics behind these rolling 48s and rolling 72s people are talking about.
Coffee is disencourged on Snake Diet media because Snake diet, and fasting promote a more ascetic view to life, growing out of your addictions(food addiction). It’s wise to give up coffee addiction too.
That being said coffee has very interesting effects in the body, and some fasters, and dry-fasters use coffee(espresso shots) with various herbs at specific times during the day(for example before training or as a vessal for a herbal formula). Further research is required to understand the link between fasting and coffee. On the surface it seems complimentory.
