Will I still lose?

I’m a young adult female. I’ve started doing OMAD. And usually will wait 24 hours or very close to it, till I eat my next meal. When I do eat, I eat quite a bit of food ngl. But I’m a moderately active individual. I’m just wondering will I still be able to lose with this? Or is this gonna backfire in my face.

Answer

It depends on how much you eat. A good way to find out if it works is to start logging your weight every day with what sort of feeding and fasting routine you are on. Once you build up a few months of data with different styles you’ll be able to easily tell what works best for you. I wish I would have done that a long time ago, it’s too easy to fall back into old habits with out a recorded history of what you have done.

Answer

No diet is going to violate thermodynamics so if you’re eating more than you’re using you’re going to gain weight. If you’re concerned about the amount you should log the foods you’re eating and see what the calorie count comes out to. You can also look into r/Volumeeating for ways to maximize your intake without overstepping your calorie count.
