I'm 22/F, south asian- vegetarian with a sedentary lifestyle. I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago and had a gall bladder removal 3 years ago. Instead of changing my bad habits, I went into depression (due to health and other factors). But I've had it enough and I want to turn around. I've started IF a week ago but since I did, I've started noticing that I feel lethargic and my stomach feels gassy. I try to eat good (protein rich pulses, nuts, milk, oats, veggies, etc) but idk if it's okay or not. Ive been told that IF can create issues with women specifically with other medical issues. Can someone please shed some light? My gynaec just tells me to loose weight and gives me these birth control pills to regulate my periods, nothing else.

Fasting is actually very therapeutic for PCOS— insulin resistance is a big factor.
I highly recommend the fasting method podcast with Megan Ramos and Nadia pateguana. Both had pcos and have reversed it

The digestion issues might come from the lack of a gallbladder.
Try to be just a bit more active in general. Doesn’t have to be high intensity stuff, just be a bit more busy through the day or go for walks.
Metformin has been helpful for some with PCOS so you could give that a go if you wanted.
There might be some food intolerances there. Perhaps the milk? Oats? Or some veg not agreeing with you?
