Way to go! 36 hours is awesome! Keep up the great work!
I like to sprinkle them in to mix things up here and there but fasting is like a muscle and you have to build it up over time. It gets easier the more you do it. I find the longer fasts easier to do after I’ve done at least a few days of OMAD, which I am getting back into after the holidays. Its ultimately easiest for me when I’m keto too because my blood sugar is more stable so it doesn’t trigger grehlin / hunger as often.
Well done, that is a great effort.I just finished my first 72hr water fast, and I agree, keeping busy at times of routine meal-prep and dining were key to getting through it.Details of my journey are in today’s daily check-in thread :)
Hello! That’s amazing! Good job!
For extended fast, please be very careful getting back into solid food. It’s usually best to start light with a bone broth or something else light. Sometimes, jumping straight into meat or carbs is a bad idea.
Awesome! And a huge high five to you. 36h fasts kick butt…and lots of health benefits too.
For me (right now), I am doing two 41-48h fasts per week (Thurs night - Sat lunch/dinner & Sun night - Tues lunch/dinner) and mostly do a mix of 18:6 / OMAD the rest of the time. My last one earlier this week, I really felt like I could have pushed it to 72, but decided to go ahead and break the fast. I’m starting a 48 tonight after dinner and have a very busy weekend ahead so may end up at 72 this time. 2x per week is working for me but in the future I may switch it up and do one 72 per week or every other week once I’m comfortable doing a 72 as my routine long fast.
