Answer
Just started my 10-14 day fast yesterday evening. I timed it with the start of my period as I had been problems with irregular periods and the past and read that this is the best time to start for your hormones.
I do it mainly for weight loss and also to detox from all the toxins I had my body exposed.I also might have an autoimmune disease which requires further testing but I want to check my values again after the fast.But I have to admit, my main reason is to get back in the shape I was before. I have let myself go and want to lose about 10-15 lbs which should be doable.
I have done 7 day fasts in the past (usually once a year) and a couple smaller fasts in between.
I have never done anything more than 7 days, so I am curious. Also, sometimes my fasts were fairly easy but sometimes it was extremely hard to the point I had to break it. I wonder if timing it with my period makes the differenceβ¦
Wish me luck! I will check in here more frequently and probably ask for advice.
