I’ve been fasting for 48h every other day and recently my have had really, really bad stomach aches. Every time I eat, I also get diarrhoea. This has NEVER happened before. I’ve done 14 day prolonged fasts, 5-7days, but never had such symptoms. I am meeting me PCP soon, but any advice? Have you ever experienced something like this?
Length: 42 hours min
Why: Weight loss
I started OMAD last week and I am in love with it. I deleted My Fitness Pal for the first time in 5 years. But Jesus I need to knock this holiday weight off before it really escalates. So I’m gonna do rolling 42 hours + OMAD until I’m back down to my low weight (like 10 lbs)
I feel so READY today. I am going to use February to really grow. I want to enter spring comfortable and confident so here we go!
Hi.. brand new to al of this. Looking to do an extended fast and would like to know if you guys are able to carry about your day in the same fashion without tiredness or weakness? Im talking about going to work. I work in a physically demanding outdoor job and would like to do a 7 day fast during this time. Any tips greatly appreciated thanks.. I can see that it would make sense to take electrolytes.. Ive seen the snake juice brand online, and Ive seen other brands online.. any personal choices? and would you take them from day 1, say 3 packs of snake juice a day? Thanks
Decided to join this group today because I’m looking for more discussion from advanced fasters like myself. As fasting is starting to gain some traction, I’m not interested in groups that skip breakfast. To me, that is not fasting. I do a 72-96 hour fast every month for overall health and longevity reasons. Been doing this practice for over three years and have been very consistent. This is not my first group related to fasting, but I quit the others as the discussion at times can get a little nasty with so called experts trying to tell me stupid sh#t like fasting will cause muscle loss when just the opposite happened to me due to HGH spikes from prolonged fasting.
Age: 50,6’4” height, 220 lbs (Low body fat)Length: 72-90 hrs. I’m at 15 hours.Reason: longevity and general health/wellness.
Because of my routine, I don’t need to lose weight. Besides fasting, I’m an active weightlifter and mountain hiker with some light yoga tossed in. My diet is primarily paleo or keto but every couple months or so, I go off keto to enjoy some carbs like fruit and rice for a week or so. I hope to help people with there struggles related to fitness and longevity. In my anecdotal experience, and at my age, I can honestly say this is the ultimate lifestyle. I’ve never been better, healthier or stronger.
Day 6 of a planned 7.
Fasting for weight loss and other health benefits.
While yesterday morning was interesting, this morning was nice and boring upon waking. No lightheadedness, no crazy hunger. Just me in a fasted state. Also, woke up with the alarm fully alert and ready to go. I’m \~30 hours from the finish line and I’m really looking forward to finally reaching it. But based on the way I feel right now in this moment, I feel I could go much longer, but that might start freaking my wife out. lol
Keep on keepin’ on!

I’ve been trying and failing all of January to get back on the fasting train. I guess it’s a win that I haven’t just given up.
Planning a 5 day fast. If I can make it 5 days, it will be my longest.
Doing it for weight loss and also to help with some GI symptoms that are flaring up.
Today is tough.I’m at 28 hours now, going for 90. Had a bad day at work, I’m on the first day of my period, and I’m actively trying to talk myself out of eating for comfort. Ugh. Some fasts are easy and some are hard, and today is hard.
