I’m trying my first 24 hours of fasting after taking close to a year break. I used to have no problems but not this time. I’m at hour 19 and the hunger is killing me. I feel like my mental clarity is suffering. Really struggling 😭. My first months of doing this I went from 215 lbs to 190lbs. I’m trying to hit 165.

185 hours in and still going strong! Feeling a bit low energy - and needing power naps for work but pressing on with day 8/14. Clarity is great.

I’m looking forward to breaking my fast more and more though - that’s the hardest mental blocker!

Just about to hit 72 hours. Started on a whim Friday after lunch since I had no weekend plans and today is a holiday so I’ve got the day off work and could take it easy. Motivation is equally autophagy and weight loss and I was down 4.7lbs when I got up this morning although I’m sure most of that is water weight and the emptying of my GI tract.

I’ve never gone past 72 hours before, and I’m toying with the idea of going until tomorrow morning or tomorrow evening since I’m feeling pretty good, but I’m nervous about having to work tomorrow while fasting. I’ve got the type of job where I could be at my desk all day, or I could need to jump up in an instant and drive a couple hours away to go tromping around an incident scene to document findings and interview witnesses.
