Fell off last year, even though IF was working great for me. Up 25 lbs. Already dropped 4 doing simple 16/8s, and feeling great and in control again after just a few days. Biggest thing for me is it gets rid of the random nighttime beers - I’m cut off at 7 or 8 pm, so that’s it. No more excuses!
Just fasted Monday 1pm to Tuesday 1pm, 24 hours total.
I broke the fast with some beans lol
I’m feeling super good, very proud of my restraint (I am a very treat-addicted person)
I found myself not even feeling super hungry, more so just craving the taste of salt and sugar.
I also have experienced headaches from hunger in the past and am happy to report this wasn’t actually the case for today! I think likely because I was very focused on keeping hydrated

Currently 38 hours into a fast a feel great! I’ve done a couple 4 days fasts before and would feel hungry and low energy for the first 2 days but this time I feel great.
I normally suck at basketball since I get exhausted and out of breath super quick but today I played with my friends and I was flying around the court. They even noticed and asked if I took preworkout beforehand lol.
This time instead of going cold turkey on food I did OMAD the week leading up to this current fast which I think helped my body adapt to going straight to burning fat.
I’m currently on a weight loss journey since college started I gained weight from 190lbs to 230lbs. But now I’m losing weight. Currently at 215 and my goal weight is 180.
I’m doing a 24 hour fast. My fasting has gotten a bit messy, and I want to get back to basics. I am fasting for weight/fat loss, autophagy, and mental clarity. I will break my fast tomorrow afternoon. I’m hoping to fast 2 x 24 each week for a while and then change it up.
hi, im new to fasting and have been doing 20h-30h fasts, however i cant seem to sleep at all while fasting? i dont feel hungry i just cannot fall asleep and i dont know why. has anyone else had this experience?
edit: i don’t drink caffeine or anything that might keep me up during fasts
My damn stomach won’t stop yelling at me! I’m getting my body back into the swing of things after a terrible past month. Could use all the support
But these damn hunger pangs are just annoying, not bad, just annoying.
Going to fast for Lent, starting tomorrow. Figure I’ll wait until after noon to start eating, cutting out anything but plants and fish (not sure why, but feel like I should say that while I’m using Lent as a start/stop marker, I’m not a practicing Catholic anymore)
