Week 1 Day 7 of a new regime

M/34/178cm (5’10) SW: 90kg (198lb) CW: 86.5kg (190.7lb) GW: 78kg (172lb)

2MAD on Sundays, OMAD every other day, with a 48 already thrown in, with another coming on Saturday.

Currently 25 hours into another 48 hour fast.

Fasting for weight loss.

Feeling pretty good at this point, calm and relaxed. I am shocked, and not sure if I should be concerned about how fast I am loosing the weight? My guess is that its probably mostly water weight and I will see the weight loss start to slow down.

Hi all, and goooood morning! Going for my first 48 in a while, and I’m almost halfway there. Trying to improve my insulin resistance, gut health, and weight.

I know it’s pretty small compared to what a lot of folks do, but it’s been a journey to get back to this point. I have PCOS, and though I’ve never been texhnically overweight, the insulin resistance has made it hard to manage my weight. It’s crept on a sneaky two-three pounds at a time for the past six years, and I recently crossed a threshold where I’m no longer comfortable.

I did 48-hour fasts as a meditation exercise when I was younger, but I’ve spiraled out of control with age. It’s been a slow journey back, and I’ve done several 24-36 hour fasts in the past year.

I’m ready to get back to where I need to be.

But also. Man, did I sleep rough last night.

42m, 5’9, SW 180lbs, GW 160lbs

WEEK 1 (Sep 26-29)
32hrs in: 179.4lbs
56hrs: 178.1
80hrs: 177.2
104hrs: 175.4

WEEK 2 (Oct 3-6)
32hrs in: 176.5lbs
56hrs: 175.2
80hrs: 174.1

I’m planning to do rolling 4 day fasts (104hrs per week, really) for 6 weeks - this is the end of the 2nd week. Hopefully I can make it all six weeks, at which point I will scale back to 3 days a week until I hit my goal weight. I’m guessing 2 days a week will be needed to maintain the weight loss.
