length of fast- 7 days

why i’m fasting- for weight loss purposes, wanting to do a 7 day fast once a month at the end of the month, with OMAD in between. my goal is to go down to 124 lbs, bulk/build muscle and stay at 145 lbs. for reference i’m female/23/5’4.

notes- i’m on hour 23. technically, i actually have more hours under my belt (i didn’t eat anything after 6 pm on friday), but i didn’t officially start tracking it until 9 am yesterday.

i had been weighing myself all week and i would usually weigh 230 or 231, since october i’ve slowly gained 10 lbs.

yesterday after going to the bathroom a bunch and not eating for a few hours, i weighed in at 228.8, this morning i weighed in at 226.1. i’m going to try to be more consistent with weighing myself at the same time every day.

saturday wasn’t bad at all. i had a multivitamin gummy + probiotic gummy before i officially started tracking my fast, not sure if it triggered insulin response so i’m not going to keep eating those.

every morning i drink black coffee, with half a tsp of powdered creamer (5 cal) and powdered erithrytol (0 cal) as a sugar substitute.

yesterday was really easy for me since i didn’t leave the house, and was drinking sparkling water, which helped me feel full/not crave food.

going to wait it out and see how i feel after 48 hours. i’m probably going to start drinking snake juice between the 48 and 72 hour mark.

Just past my record of 275hours. Nott sure how long to go for. I feel fine mostly. in a bit of a stall, lost like 1kg in the last 4-5 days. I am at 154kgs. So I’m just trusting the process.

My goal was mostly to build up some self control, and I’ve done that mostly. I might just ride it out and see where it lands at this point. I’m willing to push myself to limits within reasonable bounds. I was thinking of stopping if I get down to below 150kg. But with the stall I am unsure how long that will be.

length - 72 hours, 3 hours in!

Why - weight loss. I want to go from 185 to 170. I also love that it hits the reset button. I used to suffer from a BED, and fasting has been my way of regulating my food intake, and better understanding myself. I lost my food cues for a long time, and fasting helped bring them back. It’s also nice because it allows me to be more mindful. Sorry if I’m unnecessarily sappy, but I feel 100x better when I do complete a fast and can say, “wow! I did that!”

Notes - seeming as though I’m only 3 hours in, it’s going pretty good. I miss my Pepsi though.
