Nearly 39 hours into my second 48 hour fast this week (past 7 days)! Feeling great this morning. I was wondering if it’s okay to do two 48s per week for a couple weeks then taper to something less aggressive like a 5:2 (with 500 calories on the 2 fasting days) after about 3 weeks total. For context I’m on Keto, using electrolytes, and lightly active. Just want to make sure doing 5-6 48s in three weeks won’t cause long-term harm.

Hello, everyone!

Starting January 1st, I’m alternating a week of fasting with a week of keto OMAD, for weight loss and general health. My goal is to get under 200 pounds.

It’s day two of my THIRD seven-day, 168-hour fast of the year! 30 hours and 45 minutes in.

The only change to my fasting routine now is a daily Prilosec. My indigestion is now starting up just a couple of days after my final meal, and it’s SCORCHING if I let it advance to a full-on acid-burps phase! I don’t have this issue when I’m eating at all, Just when I’m fasting.

I have the rest of the week well in hand. Tea, coffee, water, Prilosec; that’s my menu until midnight, Sunday! This is old and familiar to me, now, and even thought day two and three of any fast is usually the hardest, I have no apprehensions.

Good luck, everyone!

63 hours into a fast (rolling fasts all of jan). No weight loss for the past 3 days. But feeling like I’m holding some water. Pushing through anyway. Haven’t really set a goal for this fast. I generally aim to get past 60 hours every fast and generally just keep going as long as I feel like going.

40 hours into a 72. I felt no hunger yesterday but am in the middle of a big wave now. My goal is to get better at the 72’s so that I can tackle longer fasts in the future. I have about 45 pounds of Covid weight to lose. I also had a big carcinoma removed from my face last year, so longer-term, I hope to improve the look of the scar.
