Hi! I’m new here but not new to fasting! I’m on day 3 of a 5 day fast for longevity (and maybe a little bit of spiritual) reasons.

Until Monday, I didn’t know such a community existed and it’s been awesome to find you all!

Today is a 7/10 on the weakness scale, but I’m still without headaches and auras. I move slow like a tortoise about most things and take nice hot baths at night.

Not insight, but thanks for welcoming me to your community!

Day 5; hour 110. Fasting for health. It was really tough getting to this point. The water only period lasted up until yesterday evening, when I had some broth. Started off this morning with some fresh coffee and I’m a little hungry but not too bad! No noteworthy pains today. I added a bunch of keto stuff to a potential grocery order but I haven’t decided if I’m going to continue fasting or begin intermittent keto next week. The cravings are very hard to ignore.

Mainly I just want to get to a place where I can eat a reasonable amount of food and feel satisfied, living a normal life. I’ve been far overdoing it for far too long, so this is a hard reset on my body, I’m hoping.

Hey everyone what happened to all the other fasting groups, sorry if I’m not allowed to ask.

I fast a few x a week, usually just IF cause I lift and want to gain muscle. IF just helps me track my macros cause I’m not grazing all day.

Today I’m doing a longer fast, only for autophagy. I’m thinking 48 or when I feel shit it will end. I assume it’s a fine line between benefits and drawbacks since I do not want to become too catabolic (I’m a small woman and hard gainer, want to lose as little muscle as possible) mainly going for the autophagy benefits. I’m approaching 45 I have some loose skin, some autoimmune stuff and inflammation pain from workout recovery. I’m hopeful 48hrs 1x a month will bring some results

20:4, getting back on the IF train. I am on my last 23 minutes before I can eat! Feeling pretty calm but hungry. Took about an hour walk in the cold with the BF today. Been chilling at home since then.

Did 16:8 all of this week, I have a long history of IF but it’s been a while since I was consistent with it. I tend to get great results and it keeps me from overeating. Sunday-Tuesday I will fast for 48 hours (work helps keep me busy), breaking on Tuesday evening and OMAD the rest of the week until next Sunday with another 48.

Doing this for weight loss, discipline, mental clarity, digestion, autoimmune conditions…really, all the things.
