Morning checkin ☀️:
- SW: 244
- CW: 240
- Daily weight change: -4
- Height (for reference): 185.5cm
- Exercise before weigh-in: 5 hours of walking yesterday.
Notes:The first day is the easiest! Quite a drop in weight, but it’s mostly water + no food from yesterday. Hoping with all the walking it’s at least 1 pound of fat.
I didn’t feel hungry at all yesterday, but had a strong mental craving at night to eat something. Thanks to the encouragement of others, I stuck to my goals.
This morning I also lifted medium weights. I’m not doing anything heavy, since building muscle is impossible while fasting. But using your muscles in a fasted state has been shown to help maintain muscle mass.

Checking in!I’m onto my first 24 hours into my fast. I’ve done smaller fasts maxing at 3 days, but my overall goal is to reach a 40 day fast, so I’m attempting 7 days this time.
I started my fasting journey a couple years ago at 220 pounds, and dropped to 190. I stopped for a while because I had major surgery, but now that I’m fully recovered I want to continue on my journey! As of today I weigh 182, so I’m feeling pretty proud!
Today I plan on doing research on more serious electrolyte replenishment since this will be the longest fast I’ve ever done. I also plan on hitting the gym after my classes. I’ve always noticed that I wake up much earlier on my own during a fast, and I feel better in a lot of ways.
I’m feeling very proud this morning and I have my goal sharply in mind! I hope everyone else here attempting a fast is doing well too!
