Hello again, friends! Here for my final post for a week or so.
Starting January 1st, Iβm alternating a week of fasting with a week of keto OMAD, for weight loss and general health. My goal is to get under 200 pounds.
Itβs day seven of my second seven-day, 168-hour fast of the year! 152 hours in.
Incredibly pleased to have stuck to my guns and seen my New Yearβs resolution through for at least three weeks, now. The last couple of days of this second fast were strangely difficult, in a way no previous fast has been; the indigestion, heartburn, and acid reflux were front and center. I finally defeated it with a combination of chamomile tea, Tums, and OTC Prilosec. Indigestion is nothing new to me when I fast, but the ferocity of it this time around surprised me! But now, I know how to deal with it if it decides to come on strong in the future.
I feel smaller! Less weighed down. Still not weighing myself, but I strongly suspect Iβm quite a bit lighter, thanks to foregoing food for 15 days out of this month (I got in an unplanned extra fast day, due to stress). Looking ahead now to my week of eating, which will be keto OMAD; as was the case when I last broke my fast, my meal is already planned and waiting, to reduce the chances of off-plan feasting.
