I am so excited! I’m taking Dr. Fung’s advice and not telling anyone in my life that I’m fasting. I’ve only been able to do OMAD before, but I am currently at over 24 hours for the first time and feeling GREAT.

120 hours done! Still feeling all right so going for 7 days. Taking it an hour at a time as I do not have potassium supplements, only sodium and magnesium. Ordered some potassium citrate powder that’s coming tomorrow.

Been only able to sleep for 5 hours, yesterday I crashed at 9 and was up at 2am with an odd sense of wakefulness. I tried upping my magnesium towards the end of the day but all that did was give me the runs today, eek. My poor toilet. Added activated charcoal today to help, and to also grab all that nasty fat-soluble toxins that should be surfacing, along with dead bacteria.

Energy is stable, hunger and cravings have plummeted since day 3.

64 hours into my 72 hour fast. It started as a 48 hour fast with the intention of extending in as long as I felt good. It’s not been hard in terms of hunger, and honestly- groceries are so expensive right now, I’m grateful that my groceries are stretching longer.

Truth be told, I’ve felt a kind of lightheaded last night and this morning. I had 5 or 6 flakes of maldon sea salt and two electrolyte capsules and I’m trying to drink more water today.

I feel better now, but tbd on whether or not I extend another day.

I’m sitting at 166.5 and would like to make it to 164 by the end of next week. Honestly… I think if I fast for two more days, I’ll be there. But regardless, I’ll eat Leto this week so maybe I’ll reach it regardless. Fasting will simply expedite it.

Answer

On Day 11 / 21.

Had ~135 calories yesterday, the first I’ve done since I started the fast. It was chicken bone broth w/ 2 tbsp of nutritional yeast mixed in to help replenish B Vitamins and provide a little protein to help with muscle recovery after a strength workout.

Group gathering today, will be sipping water. Definitely the toughest part for me, but it’s also the last event I have between now and my goal date - wish me luck!

Last 6:

225.2 - > 223.2 -> 223.2 -> 221.2 -> 222.6 -> 221.4 (0.76 lb / day average, and a reminder not to worry if the scale doesn’t move day to day.)

Aiming for another 36. My 8th fast since starting this journey on August 3rd. I was excited for my 7th fast, excited to begin and excited all the way through it because it brought me digestive relief, i broke immediately at the 36 hour mark though as I was hungry. I am excited again tomorrow because it really does make me feel better, although I tend to be hungry and quite weak. Planning for 36, one hour in now… would be brilliant to get to 44 hours though, would be my longest yet. I want to work up to longer.

Soon I want to plan a 60hour fast. Its hard though with all the fresh stuff coming out of the garden right now… However, there is never a good time. There is always delicious food.

Aiming for a 4 day fast, currently 17h in. Feeling good so far, absolutely no hunger. However, tonight will be the biggest challenge, that’s when I usually break. But I am a lot more motivated than I’ve been during the past few weeks, so hopefully I can get through this.
