I’ve been successfully losing weight simply by doing 2 “one day” fasts per week.
My one day fast is not 24 hours — it’s simply – if I’m fasting Monday, I don’t eat on Monday, from wake up to bed time. In practice, Sunday dinner to Tuesday breakfast is usually more around 36 hours.
Then I usually do another fast on Thursday.
That’s it.
It’s probably not the most ideal diet – but I don’t count calories any other day of the week. It’s been working for me.
For me personally, I find longer fasts distracting. 2 days are tough mentally, 3-4 days I’m really obsessing over food all day. I mean I could do it, but it’s easier for me just to break them up.

Hello - new here - I’m looking for subs on fasting but they are seem to be centered on “weight loss” and before and after photos - anyone know of any subs that are more about the health benefits, science & research, and longevity?

I started out anticipating 60 hours, but that’s come and gone. I feel good and would like to go longer. About to head to the store for electrolytes, but is there anything else I should be aware of before extending my fast? I’m doing the fast for better insulin sensitivity, autophagy and fat loss.
