82 hours into my 7-day fast.
The best part of a long fast (I guess 7 days is a long but not super long fast)… waking up the next morning and seeing your weight has dropped another 1.1#, then posting about it to Reddit. The daily Reddit thread here is good for motivation. Fasting can be a very lonely time, even if you’re surrounded by people. I’m not even hungry but the ritual of eating is so lovely.
Down 4.3# since day 2, and I am hoping I will dip below 240# by Friday morning. It’s going to be a close race, but if I don’t make it, I’ll be fine. I’m going to carry on some form of rolling fast after this, specific style TBD.
One thing I also like about the longer fasts is what I crave when I exit this fast isn’t pizza or Chinese food or even a bagel: I just want some watermelon. Maybe a nice big salad. A green smoothie. Last night I was craving a big bowl of veggies cooked in bone broth. Mmmmm.

Fasting for health/chronic illness. Been doing \~80s for a while now to get used to sessions over \~48-60 and happy to have got through the 100 barrier today for the first time without much incident. Currently at 110 and feeling a bit weak and tired (did NOT sleep well) but ok otherwise!

Just starting rolling 24s for weightloss. Fasted for 19hrs monday into tuesday and again today to get a soft start. Now i’m done eating for the day as of 11:50 and planning to use this to start early so tomorrow I can eat at noon and thursday at one and so on. It’s been a while since I was fasting consistently but it works so well I knew I had to restart since I’m getting married next year!
