I’m not tolerating K+ mixed in water, even when very diluted, and doc says the tablets can burn a hole in your stomach. I think I’m going to have to stick with intermittent fasting and just load up on K+ when I do eat. I know cream of tartar is 50% potassium and coconut water’s very high, but it’s relatively high in carbs, so what other low-calorie, low carb potent sources of K+ are out there?

On day 5 of a 40 day fast. So far so good, I’ve been using a product called “fasting salt” too keep my electrolytes up. Not terribly hungry because of all of the water. A little drowsy but it’s manageable. I’ve done intermittent and a 5 day fast before this but never tried it for this long before. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated!

Weighed myself yesterday, 7.1 kg (15.5 lbs) down. Currently on day 10 of 40 day plus fast. Felt incredibly weak yesterday, sprinkled some salt on my tongue, boom bounced back within a hour. Thanks guys for the support and good info.

On day 2 of my 10 day water fast
SW(25/8): 125kgCW: 123kg
i guess this was mostly water weight but it’s keeping me motivated. Did around 2.5 hours of cardio and an hour of lifting yesterday. And 1 hour of cardio and lifting today. Feeling good so far.

Semi stuck to my schedule again this week. Had alcohol for a concert during my fast on Wednesday, but otherwise did fantastic. No change in weight loss rate. Actually weighed in a few pounds lighter than expected the morning after the concert, but think that was a weird difference with the floor at my friend’s house (yes, I brought my own scale). Very proud of myself for holding off on eating tacos and street dogs after the show.
Either way, felt good to see 17x on the scale for the first time in a decade even if I bounced back to 183 after eating. The journey to 160 continues with no set backs.
SW in July: 212.0 (221 in January). CW: 183.0. GW: 160.
