26hrs of ? I don’t know how long lol. It just depends on how I’m feeling. I have a fasting blood test on Thursday so I’m not sure if I should fast too long. I’m doing it for health reasons (insulin resistance) and the weight loss is just a plus.
Day 1 of ? day fast. I’ve heard from reading some comments in this subreddit, that the “physical” aspect of hunger goes away after 3 days, which I’m sure a lot of us have experienced. but on the “emotional” aspect, especially with addictions, theres mixed responses, some people say 7 days+, some people say never. I’m gonna fast for longer than my record (6 days) as an experiment, to see if the addiction aspect temporarily subsides, or becomes easier. It does vary in easyness from day 3 to 6 ofc, but I never experienced a truly clear head. hoping for that this time around.
4th day of extended fast. My goal is to listen to my body and finish it if I feel I need to.
Doing it for weight loss, health benefits.
This is my second extended fast, first one lasted 3 days a month ago. Been doing IF the past 4 months tho. Building up to be able to do extended. Already saw my fatty liver improve exponentially. Electrolytes are very important, and the reason why I feel great. Getting some Sun daily, taking a few choice supplements. Starting day and ending my days with Apple cider vinegar, Lite salt, Lemon juice, and ice water cocktail. Taking brisk walks at night to get some light exercise and get some cold in.
Today on my 4th day has been the First day I get a headache. It’s been mild. And already went away.
Starting a 36 hour fast. I’d really like to get into some alternate day fasting. Having a hard time really sticking with it though.
ETA: fasting for weight loss ( hope to lose 15 pounds) and cell autophagy ( I have loose belly skin after losing 42 pounds). I lost weight via low carb and intermittent fasting. My weight loss progress has really stalled, mostly due to me being inconsistent.
5-day water fast complete. Feel fantastic. Breaking it easy around 130h mark with broth, veg soup & egg (not all together).
Looking forward to some clean eating, then a beer tomorrow!
Slipped into this extended fast much easier through doing OMAD I believe.
