On a 5 day water fast, may extend to 7 depending on how I feel after day 5. Currently in day two. I started longer fasts recently after a twin pregnancy. Before my pregnancies (also have a toddler) and IVF I would usually do rolling fasts between 1-3 days and dropped significant weight getting into my best shape and goal weight. I was also running and working out every day. Now that I’m 2.5 months postpartum from my twins, I’m mainly doing extended fasts and still building my exercise because my muscles all took a major hit and need to get strength back, especially in my core. Right now just doing some light jogging, walking, walking stairs and indoor cycle.

My plan is to start up HITT and weights soon, I definitely need to research because before I could do classes at the gym, but now that covid changed all the schedules at the gyms, and I moved and I have infants at home, I don’t have a lot of options in terms of classes. So I plan to try DIY first then if I need to join a a HITT/CrossFit type gym that is $200/month (only place with 5am classes near me). Hoping I can avoid paying that and get it done myself!

I am currently at the low end of the overweight BMI for my height and expect to be back in the normal range after this fast. Hoping this fast and 2-3 more fasts between 4-7 days will get me to goal weight or very close and then I will drop down to 24-72 hour fasts.

TLDR: 2.5 months postpartum, 5 day fast for weighloss (and hoping for my skin to tighten up a bit). Current BMI 25.9, hope to be under 25 after this fast.

Hour 108 of a 120 hour (5day) fast. Yesterday was the first day I actually felt weak. Home stretch today though so will keep pumping electrolyte water and tea. Goal has been weight loss and to challenge myself.

6 hours until I hit my fourth 44hr goal, and I’ve now lost 8lbs in the past 8 days! I’ve been having a pretty easy time even though I’ve felt hungry, I haven’t been craving. Looking forward to my 4hr eating window today.

No fasting story to post yet but I’m starting a 72 hour water fast today. I’m not happy with a lot of things in my life and I’ve decided to do something about the things I have control over, with my body/mind being the main focus. I’ve completed 72 hours in the past but it’s been years. Hoping this can act as a minor reset and get me back on a better track.

Is there a benefit to taking a week off from fasting? I’m off work next week, and even though I’m hoping to squeeze in a fast here and there, I KNOW it’ll probably be the first week this year where my weight goes up.

Day 5 of a 28 day planned fast. Finished a 10 day mid Feb and felt right reaching for 4 weeks. Been doing 5 and 10 days fasts for years leading up to Covid Era. Didn’t do during that time period, although it seems now I should have. Yesterday was rough, blood sugar fell to 35 as it did the last time and just felt limp. After checking Ketones I was at 2.1 so great GKI. After a few hours felt much better.

SW 274 Goal Weight 240. Male 6’2. Fasting for weight loss and to prevent crossing into Pre-Diabetes which I did in December 2022 with a 5.7 A1C. No way I’m going to do down that path.

Using Snake Juice for electrolytes (was using Gatorade Zero for first few days but realized that it was giving me hunger pangs. 2 Carbs + chemicals must be too much.
