I’m on day 12 of a 21 day water fast. I’m excited for the weight loss I’ve had so far but I’m also excited for this to be over and for me to eat again. I haven’t been hungry virtually at any point in this fast, I just miss the taste of food.

I know longer fasts aren’t for everyone but I have gained so much in these last 12 days, the least of which is weight loss. For example, I am more prescient of moments where I would’ve emotionally eaten and instead sit with the emotion and deal with it. I realized the portions I was eating were insanely unhealthy. The inflammation in my body dropped so hard that my girlfriend even mentioned that my face looks radically different. The fast also gave me some time to step away from alcohol and realize that it is too hard for me to moderate that vice. I sleep so much better and I still have plenty of energy and clarity to operate at a job that requires a lot of brainpower.

Entering day 2 of a 14 day water fast. Was doing IF 16:8 & Keto prior. First day was relatively easy. Feeing fine so far this am.

I was feeling fatigued briefly yesterday afternoon but after taking electrolytes I felt amazing, is that normal or was that just a psychological response? 😅
